After nine years of creating culture-shaping, award-winning work with you, we have decided it’s time to merge with our partner company Egg.
Kyle Lewis Unleashes Big Vibes for Captain Morgan
Together with the team at Diageo and RPM Ltd, Egg Films brought ‘Spice on Africa’ to life with a cast from across the African continent. Behind the scenes, the magic was crafted with camera movements from the talented Willie Nel and the Bolt Team from Reflex Motion Control. The post-production was handled by the incredible Xander Van Der and finished by Strangelove Post. Nigerian Afrobeats singer Yemi Alade’s banger of a track ‘Baddie’ took the energy to a whole new level and set the perfect tone for the ad’s explosive visuals.
Zwelethu and Ogilvy celebrate the 16th man in the Castle Lager’s Rugby World Cup spot
Ogilvy Cape Town and Egg Films Zwelethu Radebe unveil the latest Castle Lager commercial. Ahead of the Rugby World Cup, the film beautifully honours the sacrifices made by all South Africans, both on and off the field. Celebrating our heritage and the resilience of our people, the visuals intertwine with the evocative and poetic words of an Xhosa elder and you can’t help but feel that greatness brewing. Go Bokke!
The latest comedic campaign from Adrian De Sa Garces and Joe Public for Chicken Licken is ‘Unbelievable. But True.’
Suspend all disbelief in the latest campaign from the Joe Public creative team Gareth O’Callaghan, Cameron Fraser, ECD Assaf Levy and Egg Films’ director Adrian. These three ‘unbelievable’ spots are packed with comedic flavour and feature absurd twists and surreal turns that all seem utterly underwhelming to the cast of quirky characters. The only thing that elicits any emotion out of them is of course the new Easy Bucks deal from Chicken Licken.
IMRAAN CHRISTIAN IS OFF TO A ROARING START
In less than a year since signing with Egg, Imraan has won at Ciclope, Loeries and Young Guns.
He’s also directed world-class work for Nike, McDonalds, Sampa The Great, Paramount and Valenture Institute.
‘WHAT THE FLYING FISH?!’ ADRIAN DE SA GARCES DIRECTS AN AD WITHIN AN AD WITHIN AN AD WITHIN AN AD WITHIN AN AD WITHIN AN AD
Egg Films’ Adrian de sa Garces collaborated with the creative team at Joe Public United to create a fantastically meta piece of self-aware advertising. Realism ignored, this is a Russian nesting doll of beautifully crafted and styled slices of Flying Fish ads…showing people watching a Flying Fish ad. ‘What the Flying Fish’ indeed.
LEBOGANG RASETHABA DIRECTS EMOTIONALLY EVOCATIVE SPOT FOR MOMENTUM
For Momentum’s latest spot, Director Lebogang Rasethaba from Egg Films collaborated with The Brave Group to introduce the concept of ‘The Science of Safety’ by taking an intimate look at Springbok rugby player Cheslin Kolbe’s subconscious.
CASTLE MILK STOUT’S “LAST STORIES OF CULTURE”
Castle Milk Stout and Joe Public United invited Egg to create a film around this important notion, co-directed by Lebogang Rasethaba and Imraan Christian. Shot in the Eastern and Northern Cape, this short film tracks the journey of re-discovering our heritage in hopes of preserving our culture for future generations.
DIRECTOR ZWELETHU RADEBE DIRECTS CARLING BLACK LABEL’S ‘CLASS OF ITS OWN’
Zweletu’s collaboration with Ogilvy Cape Town resulted in a beautifully crafted and impactful film that supports a worthy initiative by Carling Black Label. ‘A Class of its Own’ honours a group of Champions with gold inside who are going back to school to get their Matric.
