Momentum’s latest film by director Imraan Christian and The Odd Number is a poignant tribute to Women’s empowerment

‘She Owns Her Success’ is the new commercial for Momentum directed by Egg Films’ Imraan Christian in collaboration with the creative agency, The Odd Number. This film is a powerful tribute to women who refuse to be confined by societal expectations and choose to define their own success.

The script, written by The Odd Number’s Creative Director Neeman Nouse, challenges the societal norms that dictate what a woman should be. Imraan, who has established himself as a director who brings cultural relevance and cinematic excellence to his work, has crafted a narrative that is both raw and heartfelt. The film is centred around a woman who engages in a poignant conversation with her younger self, offering advice and wisdom gleaned from a life of defying stereotypes and carving her own path.

‘I’m dedicating this film for Momentum to my beautiful grandmother Nabuweiya Lutta. When I read the script by the masterful writer and creative director Neema Nouse, I felt a deep connection and the potential to celebrate an illustrious life of my cornerstone who has become my angel. At the same time, I wanted to open up the visuals to a timeless place. We then met Mamello Makhetha and it felt like fate, and with her voice and craft, she breathed life into the world of the film,’ says Imraan Christian.
