Egg Films’ Marc Sidelsky brings Arsenal x Aries’ collaboration to life, “Worn By The Faithful”

Marc Sidelsky brings his signature visual flair and offbeat comedic touch to the new Arsenal x Aries campaign, “Worn By The Faithful,” which has netted worldwide attention, amassing 41 million views in just four days. Produced with Arsenal Creative Studio, the campaign celebrates Arsenal’s first collaboration with luxury streetwear label Aries, highlighting their shared London roots and dedication to the Arsenal community.
The film stars Arsenal icons Bukayo Saka, Alessia Russo, Martin Ødegaard, and Declan Rice, along with high-profile Arsenal supporters like Kaya Scodelario and musicians Ghetts, Lava La Rue, Knucks, and Shygirl. Set to a stirring choral rendition of “One Nil to the Arsenal” by London City Voices, Sidelsky’s direction creates a reverent, yet playful, tribute to Arsenal’s loyal fanbase.
Sidelsky says, “After the success of the previous Arsenal film I made – the team at Arsenal Creative Studio and I knew the bar for a sequel was high. The idea of hearing the war cries of the stands in the style of a hymn was an inspired one. Luckily we managed to bring in music company Soundtree, with the very talented Luis Almau leading the charge as our arranger/composer. Once we locked the track, everyone was psyched. Knowing the soundtrack was gold allowed me to focus on making our way through a tough schedule – shooting tons of celebrities and extracting good performances from them. I’d say a highlight was hanging out with Captain Martin Odegaard in between set-ups, him recalling that I shot with him in LA the year before….we’re tight (not really). Arsenal!”
From its unique blend of fashion and football to the iconic 26-piece collection, “Worn By The Faithful” embodies the spirit of the Arsenal Faithful, earning 2 shortlists at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival for Sports & Athletics and Best Use of Music.
